BL software 

BL software has a custom made application which can link to virtually any database, analyse the data to find suspect values eg fields containing the following characters * ? $ % #/ \, which cause cause databases to become unstable, and delete or replace the values with more acceptable ones.

BL's datacleanser can be used to search for specific values and can show, delete or 'find and replace' those values in a single field or throughout the whole database. The same functions can be carried out using update queries but the Datacleanser makes the whole job a lot simpler. Data Analysis can sometimes be carried out using Excel alone provided the analysis required is simple and the dataset is small. More often than not a solution using a combination of MS Access and Excel is required.
